Welcome to my blog. My concentration series is based on animal neglect and cruelty. The principles of design I use are value and contrast, scale, space, rule of thirds, and texture. The personal connection I have towards this is very strong because I have two dogs, and both of them are rescues. My first dog was found neglected on the streets of Washington, and my second one was not only neglected, but abused as well. Overall I hope you enjoy my series!

Week Two
This week I improved on the lighting of my pictures. Last week there was a lot of gray, but this week I fixed it. I used the same light source, except this time I turned off all the lights around me. The dogs expressions also seem to appear tired and lonely. Another good thing is that I managed to take another picture of my white dog even though she is terrified of the camera! Overall I think the pictures are a lot better than last weeks.

Week One
These are the photographs I took for week one of my concentration series. The pictures connect to my series of animal cruelty because my black dog "Tito" was found neglected on the streets, and my white dog "Paloma", she was not only neglected, but abused as well. In these photographs, it shows them relaxing safe and sound, knowing they have a good household to stay in.
